Hi Col Mohan

Excellent info on Chittur provided in the site.

I am from thekkegrammam, i do come to chittur once in an year to visit Chittur kavu, our family adima kavu. My parents settled in Bangalore about 4 decades back and except a few relatives in thekkegrammam/palakad and annual visit to chittur, your website has opened chittur in full to a layman bought up in Bangalore.

My best wishes to you for continuing this good job.

Iam sure you would not mind if I call you and drop in you place when i visit chittur for a cup of tea.

My connection with Chittur:  Father had his House ( Kacheri-Medu). I was a student of GCC(1971-74). Good to see this website.  Glad to know, Chittur has a long history and has produced great men and women.  My mothers tharavadu is Thuppaley and I now understand there are connection with Ambatt tharavadu as well.

I am an associate member of Cost and works Accountants of India, but now working in Software and settled in Chicago.  Best wishes to all who put together this website, especially COl. Mohandas.

Hello,

I  happened to see this site when i was doing a google search on " Chittur " .

Must say it's really nice & made me fell very nostalgic.

I was born & brought up in Bangalore, but have very fond memories of chittur both as a kid during summer vacations & adult.

I am basically from Puthukulankara house, Cherubal lane ( nobody there now ) & do visit chittur whenever possibel to catch up with my old friends & pray to amma.

Regards,

Prabhakaran.

(Better known to many as Prabha son of Mala)

Ambat Ramankutty and I have been close friends ever since our bachelor days together in Madras. I know all his siblings. His parents attended the marriage of my parents in 1935!

Hi Mr. Mohan,
You have done an excellent job.The website is too good. Chittur is my native and Chittur Kavu is my adimakavu. I am from Rakangathe family.
My Grandparents left Chittur 6 decades back and we are all settled in chennai. I along with my family vist Chittur once in a year.

My Grand ma used to tell lot of stories about chittur and chittur bagavathi. Yesterday i showed this website and chittur bagavathi's photo to my Grand ma and i was able to notice drop of tears in the corner of her eyes.

Gonig throught your website gave me lot of information about chittur (few of which i didn't know before). This website has helped me to re-unite with my chittur.

Keep up the good work smile and do post picture of the event that are happenning there.

Wish You Good Luck.
